Oi, I was born in Rio de Janeiro on December 4, 1973. I always liked making things with my hands and in primary school, I learned to embroider. When I grew older, I studied marketing but at the same time, in my free time, I did embroidering. I almost graduated with a marketing degree, but I dropped out of college because I got pregnant just few months before graduation. I was 24 years old.
"I love children. I think they are the reason for my life. Today I have two children – a son and a daughter. And so after becoming a mom, I dedicated my life to my children. But the problem is that having children requires money and I was not working.
"One day I was so sad. I couldn't sleep at night because I was thinking about a way of staying home with my children and, at the same time, earning some money. As I could not sleep, I started reading a magazine about home decor, a Brazilian magazine. It had a picture of some colorful bottles made with yarn. I liked them so much, and I said, 'Why don't I try to do something like that and start selling them to decoration shops?'
"The next day, I went downtown and bought some materials to try to make bottles like those in the magazine. That night, while everyone was sleeping, I started creating, and that is how it all started.
"I love my bottles and I am so happy to be able to offer them to people everywhere. I really hope shoppers will love them."
